We are committed to making a difference for the better within the communities we serve by volunteering and contributing resources and finances to local charities. Some of our endeavors have included: participation in the annual Thanksgiving Feast for those in need over the past 10 years, sponsored by Malibu Methodist Church and the Malibu Jewish Center; hosting international exchange students as well as UCLA student counselors; and support for Project Cuddle over the past 19 years.
Rey Cano, principal of Malibu Appraisal, has also served on the Board of Directors of the UCLA Alumni Association for two terms, served as President of the UCLA Latino Alumni Association, is Founder of the Fiesta De Inspiracíon, and continues to serve as a Trustee for UCLA UniCamp over the past 15 years. For his efforts, he has been recognized with the Yellow Rose Award from Marvin Windows & Doors and the Don Brown Memorial Award from UCLA UniCamp.
Project Cuddle provides safe and legal alternatives to prevent baby abandonment. Project Cuddle services reach across the country and have helped save 790 infants from being abandoned.
UniCamp provides a summer leadership camp experience to children at-or-below poverty level by pairing UCLA college student volunteers as counselors. UniCamp is the Official Charity of the Students of UCLA.
